Easter

Our Easter in pictures: We went to our church's Easter breakfast/egg hunt the Saturday before Easter. The breakfast was yummy, the spiritual thought and movie on Christ was wonderful, and the Easter egg hunt was a lot of fun! Ella was all about it, and Isaac totally got the hang of it and was really into it real fast this year.

... taking a break to scope out their candy... and eat most of it.

... paying to attention to friends around.  There were more important things to focus on.

That night we had a yearly egg dying night.  Ella was pretty excited and did a great job decorating her eggs.

Isaac spent some quality time with his egg.  He kissed it, then was "soft" with it...

... Then licked it.

Then broke it, ate it (and loved it... until he reached the yolk), and spit it out.

Ella and Craig hard at work.  Ella took it upon herself to decorate my eggs as well.  She wrote my name on that blue one in the front.

Then on Easter morning Craig gave us all a short Easter lesson upstairs as soon as the kids woke up, then we headed downstairs to see what kind of surprises the kids had in their baskets.  We found out some new things about Ella that morning.  She saw that she had jelly beans in her basket and she said in an excited voice "Jelly beans!!!", then gave a look of disgust, remembering that she doesn't like them.  She also let us know that she doesn't like chocolate.  I guess it would have been better if her Easter eggs were filled with broccoli!

Isaac got some candy and water toys...

and Ella got a bike... (which she LOVES and is very good at riding)

Sunday after church we headed down to Richmond to Craig's parents house to have a delicious Easter dinner (my dad and brother were also there, since they were solo in Richmond that weekend.  So glad we got to spend time with them too!), and another fun Easter Egg hunt.

Isaac was pretty hilarious during the hunt.  Some of the eggs had little toys or candy, but most had either coins or dollar bills.  Isaac would pick up an egg, shake it, and if he didn't hear anything rattle he would throw it back on the ground and say, "Nothing in it."  Ha!  He did that at least three times!  Fortunately, he has a smart mother who knows that means there is mostly likely dollar bills in those eggs.  Silly Isaac, I guess I still need to teach him a few very important things about life.

The Virginia cousins on the Marshall side. Cute cute kids.  Next year little Katherine will be all over the Easter Egg hunt.

What a great Easter!
