Ella said a sad goodbye to her best friend, Mariah, who moved to California. Here they are giving each other farewell cards.
I took Ella in for her 6 year old check up (even though her bday was in December), and here she is reacting to me telling her about how Isaac and Eve were born (vaginal birth) compared to how she was born (c-section). "They came out of there?!?!"
And birth was one her mind, when she made this surprisingly deep book titled, What our birthdays are for. Page 1: Are we born? Page 2: Do we have birthdays for a reason? Page 3: Maybe we were when we were born. Page 4: And then we have our birthday. - right? Notice I italicized the word "were" to emphasize the deepness of her word choice. ha! Intentional or not? Who knows.
Here is Evie waking up all confused from a nap
In February Ella did this really cool drawing. I love the more realistic look of her person.
We took a nice walk when the weather was surprisingly not very cool. Little did we know that just a little while after this we would be totally covered in snow!
We love where we live!
And then it happened... needless to say, Ella's school was cancelled for a while, and Craig even didn't have to the office for a few days (but he did still have to work from home a bit)
Look at all of that snow!
There is a pretty good sledding spot at the front of our neighborhood that we also made it to a couple of times.
And then I caught the flu. It was pretty miserable. And this picture showed a pretty accurate view of how things were in the house during those few days.
Other than snow play, we had lots of fun indoor imaginary play
and cuddles
and books
and shows.
